General Information
The Government’s Building, the Orphanage, the Municipal Theater, the Eunardio, and the Markellos Tower are the Kapodistrian buildings. The Government’s Building is one of the most important structures, as the new Greek state's first government was established there. The orphans of the national liberation revolution found a home in this area. The first National Library was also housed there. Eunardio is the first building of Greek architecture. The Markellos Tower dates back to the 17th century when during the Kapodistrian era it housed several ministers. The Municipal Theater's construction date is unclear. It now belongs to the municipality of Aegina, which is in the process of rebuilding it.

The Kapodistrian buildings are within a walking distance from the port of Aegina. They are only 900 meters away, while access is easy.
When can I visit the place?
You can visit the Kapodistrian buildings at any time of the day. The fact that they are located in the heart of the city, as well as the fact that the distance between the buildings is short, allows you to visit them all in one day.
